WHAT IS THE JOURNEY?
We get life is not a destination, but a journey. But not just any kind of journey.
We’re a community on a faith-journey from Broken to Healed, from Darkness to Light, from Death to Life.
A journey following Jesus!
In an effort to do this life better, we are walking out a faith-journey that endeavors to create a community that will equip and encourage Christ-Followers to live out their faith in this dark world through intentional devotion, discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism.
Devotion
A Baptizing in His Name
To be baptized is symbolic of two things.
First, our death to sin and resurrection to new life with Christ.
Second, is an emersion in Him (His Name represents His entirety).
To be baptized into His Name is to be transferred from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Christ, no longer devoted to destruction, but to Him and His Kingdom.
Discipleship
Teaching in His Name
Jesus’s command to teach new believers about Him speaks to His desire for those who would come after Him to know :
His heart,
His ways, and
His commands.
So that as we navigate this life’s journey, we stay on the path that leads to life!
Fellowship
Community in His Name
Once we’ve devoted ourselves to our King, we’ll be drawn into a devotion to others who call on His Name.
Fellowship is a lateral devotion, rooted in the devotion to King Jesus.
Within such community, we spur each other on to love and good works, and to the mission of the King, to GO!
evangelism
Going in His Name
Jesus’s command to “go and make disciples” compels us, His followers, to action.
As those who are on the journey who know the way, we must seek out the lost ones and connect them to our Life-Compass, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
